When watching the “Animation as a Pathway to College and a Career,” I got a good sense at what technology can do to teach young adults. In this video it shows how animation can teach someone about a subject because while they draw their animation there must be some type of research done to make it accurate. Also to accomplish their goal as animators, there was a lot of teamwork involved to help show that to accomplish something special; it is not an individual effort. I learned that technology could be used in any type of subjects and situations.
The integration of technology in the classroom is becoming a more and more important thing to know. With having computers at your disposal, there should be no question that they are the future and someday that is all people will need when coming to class. I will integrate this process by using movies to explain history, but I can also make my own still videos, to explain my side of the story. Not everyone has the same perspective on the events of history, but its good for the student to know both sides of one story. I will also be using those smart boards, which are a good way for students to make corrections or be involved in class discussions.
REFLECTION:
When looking back at this assignment it got me to realize the importance of technology this day and age. In the class room I will be using technology, whether its a computer, Smartboard, or T.V., on a daily bases. We as Americans and humans are relying technology on a daily bases as well, everyone has a smart phone this day and age with Internet, word processors, email, everything needed for todays society. That is why this assignment got me thinking more then anything. I will do all I can to increase students knowledge about technology and its importance in todays society.
